Why The Best Wrinkle Creams Come In Glass Jars
It started off like any other day. Dave woke up and hopped in the shower. He dried off, got dressed and poured a nice cup of coffee. Then he went to wake his wife with a kiss. Dave faced what millions of men face everyday…Crows Feet. Multiple deep valleys in a otherwise pretty face. He looked a little closer and realized that wasn’t where the lines stopped. No, these lines were taking over. Pack up and head west, smooth skin of youth, wrinkles have moved in.
Men everywhere had the same problem; aging wives. And it’s not so much the fact that they were aging, but their faces showed it. For awhile, the husbands did nothing. It’s not as if telling your wife that her face looks like World War I Soldiers came and dug trenches in her face is easy. Men like to have a hot meal made when they come home, and telling the women the truth is an easy way to end up with a peanut butter sandwich and a VIP spot on the futon. So they tried a different method…gifts.
Women everywhere like to recieve gifts and always keep them. Men quickly decided gifts were the way to go. Anti-wrinkle creams start to appear everywhere, but what to get? Tubes, soaps, oils, injections, and capsules are all available. Instant results or long term committment, cheap or expensive, English or foreign, this may be difficult.
Each man tries something different, but all rush home to give the gift. This is when men learned that any gift is not a good gift, women cried their husbands don’t love them anymore and thought they were ugly. Husbands learned this way not the way to go and all the stress would only cause more wrinkles.
After hearing of this many decided not to give the cream to their wives but simple put it in the bathroom with hopes they would use it. Most wives ignored it and some accused their husbands of having other women in the house.
One husband came up with another plan. After his wife went to sleep he quickly put the cream over her wrinkles. He stood back and was very proud. Then she rolled over and got it all over the pillow. After several nights of trying, he gave up because it was all getting wiped off her face and he had to do the laundry.
Some men quickly got scared and and decided the wrinkles were not that bad. One particular man decided he was not going to be able to go watching his wife get older and older. Trying to figure this out he noticed his wife’s diamond necklace and realizing how she loved her favorite things, it came to him. He knew what he had to do.
He ran as fast as he could to the store. He found the shiniest jar he could, a cut glass container.. He put his cream in the jar and put a big bow on it. And then he did what all the best husbands do, play dumb.
The shiny glass jar was received from his wife with kisses and hugs. How wonderful! How beautiful! But what was inside? The husband didn’t know, he said, only that he saw the jar and thought it was pretty, like his wife, so he bought it. His wife saw that it was anti wrinkle cream, and put it right on the bathroom counter.
She was excited every morning to play with the pretty jar, and her husband was tickled pink when, in a week, the valleys smoothed out. The best wrinkle cream, the husbands discovered, had nothing to do with the ingredients, or the country they were made in. No, the best wrinkle cream comes in a shiny, glass jar. Those were the ones the women wanted to use. And quickly after, the price for a glass jar sky rocketed. But such is the price to pay for lovely wives.
